Novigen HGH
Usage Guide

Recombinant Human Growth Hormone (rHGH) produced via E. coli expression. Please read all instructions carefully before use and only administer under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

rHGH 120IUPre-filled injection pen  ·  Subcutaneous
⚠ Important — Read Before Use

This product is for use under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional only. Off-label dosing information provided is based on widely referenced clinical and community protocols. It is not approved by the MHRA or FDA for anti-ageing, body composition, or performance purposes. All use should be medically supervised. Keep out of reach of children.

1

What is Novigen rHGH 120IU?

Novigen rHGH is a recombinant human growth hormone produced using Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacterial expression technology. This produces a 191 amino acid sequence identical to endogenous human growth hormone. Each pen contains 120IU of somatropin.

1mg is approximately equal to 3IU. 1IU is approximately equal to 0.33mg. Growth hormone is most effective when administered in the evening or post-exercise to align with the body's natural pulsatile secretion.

2

Therapeutic — Wellness & Anti-Ageing

Tier 1 — Therapeutic
2 – 3 IU per day
Recommended for general wellbeing, anti-ageing, improved skin elasticity, bone density, joint health, and sleep quality. Low risk of side effects at this range. Suitable for long-term use under medical supervision.
120IU pen supply: ~40–60 days
This is the most commonly prescribed range for adults with age-related growth hormone decline.
3

Enhanced — Fat Loss & Body Composition

Tier 2 — Enhanced
4 – 6 IU per day
Used for accelerated fat loss, improved body composition, increased energy, and enhanced recovery. At this range, splitting the dose (morning and evening) is recommended to reduce side effect risk. IGF-1 blood level monitoring is strongly advised.
120IU pen supply: ~20–30 days
Side effects become more likely above 4IU. Water retention, mild joint discomfort, and carpal tunnel symptoms may occur. These typically resolve with dose reduction.
4

Performance — Bodybuilding & Athletic

Tier 3 — Performance
7 IU+ per day
Used in performance and bodybuilding contexts for significant muscle hypertrophy support, aggressive fat loss, and enhanced recovery between training sessions. This range carries meaningfully higher risk and should only be considered by experienced individuals under close medical supervision with regular blood work.
120IU pen supply: ~15–17 days
Doses above 6IU significantly increase the risk of insulin resistance, acromegaly symptoms, and organ stress. Regular monitoring of blood glucose and IGF-1 levels is essential at this tier.
5

Dosing Frequency & Timing

Growth hormone is best administered once daily at Tier 1 doses. At Tier 2 and above, splitting into two doses (morning and evening, or post-workout and before bed) is widely recommended to better mimic the body's natural pulsatile release and reduce peak-related side effects.

Administering before bed is popular as it aligns with the body's largest natural GH pulse during deep sleep. Post-workout administration is also effective as exercise potentiates GH response.

6

Check Your Pen

Before each use, inspect the pen carefully. Check the expiry date on the pen label. The solution should be clear and colourless. Do not use if you notice particles, cloudiness, or the seal is broken.

7

Allow to Reach Room Temperature

Remove from the refrigerator and allow to sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before injecting. Do not warm using hot water or a microwave.

8

Wash Your Hands

Thoroughly wash and dry your hands before handling the pen or preparing the injection site.

9

Gather Your Supplies

You will need your Novigen rHGH pen, a new sterile needle, an alcohol swab, and a sharps disposal container. Always use a new needle for each injection.

10

Choose Your Injection Site

Administer subcutaneously (under the skin) into the abdomen, front of the thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites with each dose to avoid lipodystrophy (fatty tissue changes at the injection site).

Do not inject into a vein or muscle. Avoid bruised, red, or broken skin.
11

Prepare the Site

Clean the chosen area with an alcohol swab using a circular motion. Allow to air dry completely before injecting.

12

Inject the Dose

Attach a fresh sterile needle. Set the correct dose on the pen counter. Gently pinch a fold of skin, insert the needle at 90° (or 45° if lean), press and hold the button until the counter reads zero. Hold in place for 6 seconds before removing.

13

Dispose of the Needle Safely

Place the used needle directly into a sharps container. Never recap with two hands or dispose of in household waste. Replace the pen cap after every use.

14

Before Opening

Store unused pens in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from direct light. Keep away from the cooling element.

15

After First Use

Once in use, store refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C. Replace the pen cap after every use to protect from light. Use within 28 days of first opening.

Never freeze a pen that has been opened. Freezing will denature the protein and render it ineffective.
16

Common Side Effects

More likely at higher doses or when starting treatment. Most resolve with dose adjustment.

Water retention / oedemaJoint discomfortCarpal tunnel symptomsMild headachesInjection site rednessFatigueMuscle achesTemporary blood sugar rise
17

Serious Side Effects — Seek Medical Attention

Stop use and contact your prescriber or seek urgent medical attention if you experience:

Signs of insulin resistance or diabetesSevere or persistent joint/bone painVision changesSevere headache or nauseaUnexplained swellingChest pain

Long-term use at high doses may contribute to acromegaly (enlargement of extremities), insulin resistance, and increased cardiovascular risk. Regular blood work including IGF-1, fasting glucose, and HbA1c is strongly recommended for anyone using above therapeutic doses.
